Create Time, with Intentionality
Set up your days and weeks to reflect YOUR goals.
Read time: 2 min
It's easy to think:
I'm too busy!
I don't have enough hours in the day!
If only I had a little more free time I could grow.
Honestly, we all have time. We often just let life take control.
Being intentional means setting up your schedule ahead of time. Down to the hour even.
It may seem unrealistic, but the days and weeks where I map out my schedule with a TON of details are the weeks I feel most fulfilled.
Does this idea feel foreign to you?
Does it feel too structured?
It’s normal to feel that way. I’ve felt it too.
Sometimes I feel a structure schedule feels unrealistic to life’s twists and turns, but it actually helps you ensure your time is spent on the things YOU want.
The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.
It’s so cliche, but you really are either steering your ship or being steered by the ocean. You have to plan out what you want to spend time on, schedule it, and then stick to it.
Take some time over the next 48 hours to schedule YOUR priorities for next week. Stick to them at least 80%. Let me know how it goes.
I have struggled and still fall short of this, but the further away I go, the further I am from achieving my goals and the life I want.
